Hi! My name is Marti.

I have been training and working with dogs for over 35 years.

Many of you know me from competitive years in agility trials or the sheepdog herding demonstrations performed here at our gentleman’s farm in Bull Valley.

I’ve done Hospice Therapy with my first Border Collie, Meg and have visited nursing homes and assisted living residences. Meg gave comfort and offered companionship to many seniors over the years.

My dog Kate was featured on Eyewitness News with Howard Sudberry. She gave a wonderful demonstration of goose herding at Kemper Lakes Golf Club, which was enjoyed by all. No geese were ever harmed, though they did relocate.

Good Dog Academy & Daycare is the realization of my dream.

Dogs are trained exclusively through positive reinforcement methods. We utilize clickers, toys, treats and general enthusiasm in marking the behavior we desire and shaping the dogs’ actions.

Our clients’ dogs love it here so much, we often find that they don’t wish to leave at the end of the day.

We are a completely private facility. Think of it as your dogs’ Country Club.  Your dog will enjoy a rich social atmosphere while promoting a balanced and positive energy.

The dogs go through an application and evaluation in order to become accepted as members for daycare participation. This ensures that your dog is in the safest and most positive environment for his needs.

Regular attendance and doggie friendships are the goal.

Health records and vaccination or titer records are required. We send you gentle reminders when your vaccination or titers are due to expire.
